Japanese Paulownia Tansu / Kimono Storage Chest – 3-Piece Stack — $250

We are selling a traditional Japanese kiri tansu (paulownia chest) that my spouse inherited from her grandmother in Japan.

This piece has been in the family for many years and has been carefully used. It consists of three separate sections that stack together, making it easier to handle and move than a single large cabinet.

The middle and bottom sections feature deep, wide drawers well suited for storing folded kimono and other clothing. The top section has a combination of larger and smaller drawers, providing convenient storage for clothing, accessories, and other items.

Paulownia has traditionally been used in Japan to store kimono and other delicate clothing because of its natural moisture-regulating properties and resistance to insects.

Condition: Good used condition

There are no noticeable scratches or water damage. All drawers open and close normally.
No keys included.

Price: $250

Overall dimensions when stacked:

This is a family piece that was inherited from my spouse's grandmother in Japan, so we would especially like to find someone who will appreciate it and take good care of it.
